Cattanach to campaign “A Journey for 9/11” Chevrolet at Mansfield in NASCAR Camping World East Series

Mooresville, NC – Redding, Calif. standout Kyle Cattanach will make his second start in the NASCAR Camping World Series East on Saturday August 23^rd at Mansfield Motorsports Park for Spraker Racing Enterprises.

Cattanach, who relocated to Mooresville, NC and is working on the Spraker Racing ARCA Re/MAX team, will pilot the “A Journey For 9/11” #37 Chevrolet, with additional support from Pepper Jack Kennels.

Pepper Jack Kennels and Cattanach backers Misty Cary and Marty Melo, both from Northern California, have a personal connection to the efforts of “A Journey For 9/11,” as Melo and Cary are both career Fire Captains.

“A Journey For 9/11” helps provide health care for the surviving rescue and recovery workers who rushed to Ground Zero after the 9-11 attacks. Former New York Giants star George Martin, raised over two million dollars while walking over 3,000 miles.

The experience Cattanach has gained working on the ARCA team, along with his past experience in such varied series as the ASA Speed Trucks, NASCAR Late Models, and NASCAR Camping World Series West, should bode well for adapting to the Mansfield half-mile oval.

Saturday’s event will be Cattanach’s first ever at the Ohio speedplex.

Cattanach made a huge impression on the east coast fans in his first start in the 37 car, back in April at Greenville Pickens Racing. Cattanach charged from 23^rd on the grid all the way to 12^th, before being involved a late-race incident and finishing 19^th.

The 23 year-old has maintained an 82% top-ten percentage throughout his career. His career includes second in the ASA Truck points, second in the North State Challenge Series points, and a fourth place finish in the NASCAR Camping World Series West.

Saturday’s Mansfield 150 will be broadcast live on HDNET at 5:30 p.m. eastern time and 2:30 p.m. pacific.
